Though Turkmenistan’s Saparmurat Niyazov banned gold teeth because they offended him, he adored gold statues of himself. The <a href=”” target=”_hplink”>Arch of Neutrality</a> in Ashgabat is a 246-foot tall tower topped with a gold statue of Niyazov, which rotates so that his face always glistens in the sun.
